Continuous effort - not strength or intelligence - is the key to unlocking our potential.

Starting in April of 2017, Packing It Out will begin a cross country tour from Cumberland Island in Georgia to the Olympic Peninsula in Washington. On par with our mission in 2015 and 2016, this year we will continue our mission to inspire a greater sense of environmental stewardship by cleaning national parks and scenic areas that are being loved to death. Throughout this tour we will be sharing our story and hosting local cleanups at select REI locations across the country. Click the picture above to get more information about this years endeavor. Got it!? Good. Now let's go Leave It Better.
Pacific Crest Trail
On May 6th, 2016, our team set off from the border of Mexico. Similar to the Appalachian Trail, the goal was to inspire a higher level of environmental stewardship in our communities by cleaning the length of the PCT.
720 pounds of trash and 2,650 miles later, our team successfully cleaned the length of the Pacific Crest trail. Seeing a large number of other hikers cleaning the trail gave us a real sense of accomplishment on this journey. Read more --> HERE
On March 29, 2015, The Packing It Out crew started hiking north from Springer Mountain, Georgia. Four and a half months later the team had completed the Appalachian Trail.
Our goal was to clean up every piece of trash along the trail while inspiring as many people we could along the way to do the same. We successfully cleaned up over 1,100 pounds of trash and inspired countless others to leave their community better.
